Does anyone remember me?
God....how long has it been now since I last logged in? I lost count after 8 weeks.
Well, it's been forever, and I miss you all so much, believe me. I am sorry, once again for yet another PROLONGED absence from DA. Now, I'm going to tell you why.
First things first:
I've been eaten alive. By School. Literally. I have NEVER EVER EVER
E. V. E. R. had this much school work in my entire life. I never dreamed of having so much work my senior year. It's all my fault though for choosing (out of complete and utter madness) to take an extremely intense EFE art class along with with an extremely intense AP English class. At the moment, on top of these two year long classes, I have French and Sociology-- now, you wouldn't think sociology would be that hard but my Soc. teacher...God knows, I love her, but... SHE ASSIGNS MORE HOMEWORK THAN I HAVE BRAIN CELLS. So,in other words: I have had no time to breathe. At all.
For a long time though, this wasn't even the worst of it. I had only one thought on my mind for months:
ART COLLEGE.
A very specific art college, that is. I worked the entire summer and the entire first six or seven weeks of school working CONSTANTLY on my art portfolio. There are a thousand little details to this story, but I'll try to cut to the chase.
October 28th 2008, the art college I'd been DYING to go to came to my school to give portfolio reviews to the advanced art students. My plan was to be reviewed and have the rep. tell me what else I needed in order to get accepted on National Portfolio day (which was November 1st.) So, it was my turn, and I was dead nervous--as you can imagine. Somehow though, and I don't even know how, I was able to numb my nervousness and be myself. So I began showing her my work, as professionally and eloquently as I could possibly manage to. (My work has changed SO MUCH, I draw my own characters constantly now, and the style has become completely my own. I'm having the time of my life.) So I talked her through my work, answered all of her questions to the best of my ability and provided her with as much important insight on my personality and beliefs as I could-- and then suddenly she said to me: "At this point, I don't need to see anymore. I am extremely impressed, and have made my decision. You are exactly the kind of student we want at our school. You are very dedicated, and I can tell that you've been working all your life."
My heart sank into the floor, and then flew a few miles above my head.
I have. I have been working
all my life.
Oh my God.
I could not believe it. She was enthralled with my work, she ACCEPTED me. Early! My review was accepted. I didn't need anything else. I was done. I am done. And, on top of it all, I won a SCHOLARSHIP for my portfolio!! And I learned later, that it was extremely rare to be accepted that early let alone obtain a scholarship. On National Portfolio day, four days later, hundreds of students came with their portfolios with the hope of acceptance. Only 20 some were accepted, and even fewer received scholarships. When I learned this number I was dumbfounded. All my hard work had finally paid off. It was all worth it in the end. And the coolest part is that got accepted too, on the same day!! It has been our dream forever now to go to that school together. And now we can.
It was the most fantastic moment...

I sent in my application about a week ago. Now all that's left is to see the words "YOU'VE BEEN ACCEPTED" in writing. I'm praying that I do---I don't see a reason that I wouldn't be since I received a letter in the mail today confirming my scholarship....but you never know. I guess I'm still just so nervous about the whole thing.

My work has changed so much. I'm still hesitant about uploading my character drawings here though, I know that I had started too...but I've begun to get second thoughts again. I kind of wish I hadn't uploaded that computer drawing of those two original characters...it looks awful to me now x3
There was a second computer drawing that I completed over the summer, it still looks relatively okay to me--not fantastic but I may upload that one. I'll have to watermark the hell out of it again of course...which I hate doing. Ah well, We'll see.
Anyway, none of this means my homework is going to go away, however, and after this I probably won't be able to log in again for yet another long duration of time. I'll have to think about what I should and shouldn't upload...if I even have time to upload. I HATE this homework....it's ridiculous...believe me, I have a million things to rant about right now, but I'll spare you. I just wanted to tell all of you this good news, and thank all of you SO SO MUCH for being there for me, and supporting my art all this time. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL MY NEW WATCHERS SINCE I'VE BEEN GONE ALSO! It means a lot to me.
This has been an extremely emotional time in my life. I don't think I'm going to have time to chat with anyone again just yet, maybe on Christmas vacation I'll have time. But when the summer comes, I will for sure.

In other news...
I was going to write this journal on Vegeta's birthday (November 9th) but I didn't have time. So, HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY VEGETA!!!!
I got my own computer for the first time in my life! She's a 17 inch MacBook pro laptop. I named her Nala

I'm seeing a NIN concert tomorrow, and I saw Kamelot a few weeks ago (THEY WERE BEYOND AMAZING.) Of course that put me behind in my homework, and now the NIN concert will put me even further behind....BUT I HAVE TO GO!
DIE HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!! gah.
And...ALAN RICKMAN'S NEW MOVIE "NOBEL SON" COMES OUT DECEMBER 5th!!!! I can't wait! I've been waiting FOREVER for that movie.

Anyway, I don't know if I'll have time to reply, but please let me know how you guys are doing in your comments. I hope life is going well for all of you--I'm so sorry about my lack of presence here, and therefore lack of support and comments and replies. When my homework lets up (IF IT EVER LETS UP) --if I'm not writing my novel or drawing my characters-- I'll be here.

Hey everyone-- Remember me? ;3
I know, I know...it's been AGES since I've submitted something...and I am well aware of the fact that I haven't been particularly active on DA for the longest time and... I just wanted to apologize, and explain why.
  I still love and cherish all of you, of course-- I know there must be tons of deviations you guys have submitted that I haven't even commented on or faved...and I'm extremely sorry about that. It's just, all of this time you haven't been hearing from me, my life has been going through some extreme changes, mostly internally/emotionally/mentally.
Many of you may not know this about me but I am a very impulsive person....I am constantly changing...while at the same time I do manage maintain a strict loyalty to the things I love, that doesn't mean that these loyalties don't ever slightly alter themselves. I've been maturing...seeing life and my artistic career in a new light. It's unbelievable really how much my mind set has changed since the last journal I wrote.
You must know this about me:
I am a person who creates out of what I love.
  Before I say anything more, let me confirm one thing:
I still love Vegeta.
Yes, I will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS love him with all of my heart, that will never change-- he is and forever will be who I consider my husband and the first man to ever take hold of my heart.
It's just...I have broadened my horizons much more now. I used to be all about Dragonball Z dragonball Z dragonball Z and ONLY dragonball Z, but now I find that I have taken up an interest in my own creations even further. I have never been so deeply in love with my own characters, my own story, I have never been this way before, not like this, no, not nearly this completely dedicated to my own original ideas. You see, right now I am at the point where drawing fanart almost seems...like going backwards. Of course, I can guarantee you, I will draw Vegeta again but right now....that desire I used to experience, that need I used to feel to draw Vegeta in order to feel him with me has faded. Now, It's as if he is inside of me, pushing me to move on into my own story, away from all the influences and fandom.
I feel like I have taken a step into myself in my purest form, everything I've ever dreamed of...coming together, all I've felt all of this years coming to the surface.
I am only me now.
I have no need for any of this anymore.
I have no need to obsess over something that doesn't truly belong to me.
My only need now is to move forward in my own creative endeavors, to move past Dragonball Z, past anime, past every other thing in my life that has ever influenced me. I want to move into something new, something that could not have existed without me here, something which truly reflects who I am, and I unfold more and more of it everyday.
    The unfortunate part is that I know it's not a good idea for me to share my original characters and ideas on the internet, they are too sacred to me, I don't want to risk exposing them to the world just yet. I know that might sound crazy, especially to those of you who submit OC things all the time. But this is just...different. I mean, I may submit something original of mine, but I have not come to that conclusion yet. It all just...depends. It's hard to explain, so I'll just leave it at that.
    Influence is what caused me to change like this though...something new entered my life and changed me forever. It's hard to explain exactly how it all happened, but let's just say…
I fell in love again.
Yes, for the second time in my life, I fell in love with something I could not have. But this time, it is even more painful than Vegeta...because Vegeta is something infinitely unattainable...but this, this is someone who is actually out there somewhere, living and breathing and walking this earth. I had never dreamed of falling in love like this, with someone "real" who was unattainable. But it was that extreme change, that moment where something occurred that I thought would absolutely NEVER happen, happened, that caused me to awaken into a entirely different light. I could not believe it...especially since I didn't even feel that sort of love for Johnny Depp, who I once believed was the sexiest "real" man on earth. Well...I'm sure some of you recall that journal I wrote about Sweeney Todd...I was obsessed with that movie from day one and I still am. But if you want to know the real  mainreason I love that movie so damn much...well, when I first saw that movie, sure, I thought Johnny Depp was hot, but contrary to what I made it seem, it was not him who compelled me the most. No, it was
Alan Rickman who stood out to me above all else. I thought these feelings were extremely strange, being that he's so much older than me— so in the beginning, I chose to ignore my feelings. For a while, I only admited to really liking Alan Rickman, I did not admit to myself or anyone the true depth of feeling that I had for him. It was frightening, yet thrilling and magnetic, as I was beginning to feel toward him in a very similar way that I feel toward Vegeta. It was insane; Vegeta was the ONLY thing in the world I ever had feelings like that for. Yes, I thought many guys were sexy blah blah, but not like that no, this was something much more, something far deeper.
    After I saw Die Hard and Sweeney Todd again a second time, my love for Alan hit me full force and there was no way I could pretend it wasn't there anymore. I began to buy all of his movies and watch all of his interviews...
I was...and am... madly in love with him. Yes, I think that Alan Rickman is the sexiest man alive, and no one will convince me otherwise until I meet my actual husband.
I have suffered over him, cried over him, laughed over him and felt all of those emotions all over again that I felt for Vegeta, for him. It has been torturous, but it has also been fantastic, and despite the pain it has given me, I do not regret my discovery of him.
No, I don't love him more than Vegeta, that's impossible, so don't even ask me that question. It is very close though, and now that I have been consumed with all of this fresh newborn passion, I have spiraled into an entirely different world. A world that is more real, more physical, tangible and emotional... and it all changed my artistic style dramatically. Now that I am in love with a man, an actual human being who walks the earth— my art has reflected it immensely. My characters, story and artistic vision are becoming broader, and more real now than ever before. It is all coming together for me. Yes, I am a person who creates out of what I love, and before, Vegeta was my only vast source of passion for me to pull any creative inspiration from— but now that I have fallen in love with Alan, somehow, an entire new window of artistic possibilities has opened for me and I have thrown myself into it. Now I am above my obsessions, above Vegeta, even above Alan, above everything and surrounded mostly in my own world of pure artistic freedom.  
This whole thing has been a HUGE turning point in my life.
As crazy as this all sounds, I don't know how else to put it. This is what has happened to me and I am just going to embrace it, and folllow life down whatever path it takes me.
So, no I will not be on DA nearly as much as I used to in the past, but this doesn't change how much I still care for all of you.
I will stop in occasionally to fav and comment and have conversations, but for the most part I won't have much time to spend doing anything I see as unimportant compared to creating and nurturing my own story. I hope I don’t sound selfish, because that isn't the case.  It's just that I have seen the truth, or at least a glimpse of it, and I know what I have to do. Please don't let this discourage any of you, I am and always will be the crazed DBZ fan, Vegetasotherwife.
It's just that now...fanart is behind me. It doesn't mean I'll never draw it again, it just means that I've seen very far beyond it.
It feels good to move on.
I know back then, the idea of moving away from fanart sounded awful, I swore I would never...but, it is very different than I imagined it. It actually feels… wonderful. It's beyond words, and surprisingly, I don't feel it really defers or destroys my love or loyalties at all for that which I have loved for years. I gave my love, and it remains in place forever, in the brightness as I gave it in that time, and no one can ever take that away.
It’s just that now, I must move forward into a different kind of brightness...

So, yes it's true. DA removed my recent deviation of Vegeta naked in the DBZ manga because of copywrite violation.   And because of that they even removed my "Vegeta is johnny Depp" deviation too. D: Damn.
I was hoping to get away with it but alas...I failed...miserably... x3 I was only fooling myself thinking it might not get removed... so I was stupid, yes.
But now I've decided to redeem my intellegence and upload the lovely image to photobucket, and share it to all of my fellow Vegeta lovers through my journal instead--(which is what I should have done in the first place!)

I saw this image for the first time about 5 years ago. I was browsing through the DBZ manga volume 5 in a book store, when I suddenly came across this page. According to my mom my face became beet red like this text and and I nearly fainted. I took the photo that you see here about 3 years ago before we had a good scaner and...wait...okay what the crap why is the text red and underlined like a link?? Strange O.o anyway... The main reason I'm uploading it is because I've never seen this picture anywhere else on the net. It probably is somewhere, but if it isn't then someone has to upload it! So I decided to do the honors by bringing this panel to a larger scale and sharing it with the world!! Muahahhahaha
~I'm not a pervert I'm just creatively expressing my love for this naked man that's all, is that such a crime? ;3
Also, like I said I feel bad about my lack of sexy Vegeta drawings for you all because of my insane schedule, so I give my fellow Vegeta lovers this to appease their eyes in the meantime.

I feel like a total ass hole, that I wasn't even able to reply to all of your awesome comments. I have just been so busy lately as usual~ I know I haven't been able to be on here that much. I realize now that I have so many requests for you guys that I still have to draw, and I know your going to say not to worry about it but I can't help it. The truth is I guess that...I just plain SUCK at fulfilling requests! ;_; I don't know why but I have the hardest time budgeting my time or something....and I just wanted to say that I am honestly soo fucking sorry that I haven't come through on so many levels for a lot of you. I guess that I'm just extremely stressed and all of that, but really it's just rediculous. Thank you all for putting up with me too, and these stupid rants I write... such as this one

Here is a list of the things I have to do, I just want to put it out there so you guys can get a better idea of what my life is all about lately, and also I think it will help me get my thoughts more organized if I type it all down somewhere:

1. Draw 12 pages of my original story as a graphic novel in full colour by April for my AP art class (So far I have 6 pages I've drawn since late December, I'm half way there!)
2. And create 12 other pieces of artwork using a variety of different media by April (I have...about...6 or seven but most of them are WIPS at the moment >.>; )
3. Right now my latest creative writing assignment is a three page story putting myslef in a historical event (first person) by Friday and then,writing 10 nanofictions (stories that are 50 words or less) by thursday.
4. After school every tuesday and thursday, Yoshi23 and I are working on designing over 100 pages for a literary magazine. Sometimes we stay as late as 7 P.M. x3
5. Study French constantly (We have a quiz every other day!)
but these are only school realted topics. My goals outside of school are still to be cinsidered as well, which include:
1. Finishing my written novel (I'm on like...my 5th revision of the whole damn thing! And now I feel like I want to start rewriting it all over...AGAIN D: )
2. Writing out summeries and character discriptions for all of my characters.
3. Finishing my yaoi doujinshi (damn, look at how low this is on the list ;_; )
4. Drawing sexy Vegeta's for myself and my fellow deviants.

...So, as you can see, this might be able to somehwat explain my lack of quality deviations anymore. Keep in mind that I'm not complaining, I love having  a full life it's just...very...tiring o.o
I wish I could have done better on my journal drawing... I just didn't feel I had time and ugh I know it sucks!! D:

Oh. My. GOD who else was sooo dissapointed that Christopher Sabat stopped redubbing Vegeta in the new DBZ DVD's?? I was so upset when I watched the pink shirt episode on my new season four box set to find his voice the same as the old dub. I mean, I love his voice always but I really prefer Chris's most recent deep, smooth, sexy and mature voice for Vegeta sooo much better. It's so weird, he has that deep husky sexy voice all throughout the Saiyan saga and namek saga and them out of no where his voice gets all high and uber scratchy again. It's just like...wtf. I assume Chris must have had some good reason to stop...I can't imagine what it would be.... I respect that he's a really busy person but it just seems to me like he should have comminted to redubbing everything up until the Buu saga. -_- I'm hoping that MAYBE they just left the Trunks saga like it used to be because those episodes are so classic but I doubt it... It really upset me, I mean, I was crying and everything because nothing is new anymore now, and it was a bit hard for me to take, that Chris is no longer voicing Vegeta. It really hurts, it's a big deal for me...it was all I had left...
